Mustachioed Mario

Practice line work to get back into the mood of using illustrator. Seeing those mustache sunglasses everywhere lately got me thinking about using them in a design somewhere, so I thought, "why not Mario?" Hopefully I'll have color and textures on it soon.

what are we doing?

So lately I've just been practicing painting in Photoshop, I'm still not that great at it, but i'll keep working on it. I have posted 2 pictures, one is what I've currently filled in, and the other is what the lines look like. And yes, it is from Sherlock 2 if you were wondering, from my favorite seen on the train. I'm still not the best at painting skin either, so I can't say I'm super happy with it right now. Another big issue is his lips....I just can't seem to get them right at the moment.

I'm going to call this a final for now, even though I'm not too crazy about the color choices I made for the background and stuff. This was mostly just supposed to be a practice of painting skin color, and then turned into clothes and hair as well...
